With Goju-Ryu you are never alone!

We are proud members of the English Goju-Ryu Karate-do Association (EGKA) and International Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do Federation (IOGKF).

English Goju-Ryu Karate-do Association (EGKA)

As members of the English Goju-Ryu Karate-do Association, we are welcome to train at any of the 30 plus EGKA affiliated Goju Ryu Karate clubs in England. Because they all follow the same syllabus, you’ll feel quite at home!

EGKA Chief Instructor Sensei Ernie Molyneux is a 9th Dan. He oversees the association and is responsible for ensuring that all clubs offer a high standard of teaching through our network of experienced and qualified karate instructors.

The EGKA organises lots of events, giving us the opportunity to train and compete across the country and learn from a wide range of talented, highly qualified instructors.

International Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do Federation (IOGKF).

The EGKA is part of the International Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate-do Federation.

Established in 1979, the IOGKF is the largest traditional Okinawan Karate organisation in the world. The IOGKF is led by World Chief Instructor, Sensei Tetsuji Nakamura who is supported by an international Executive committee that includes our very own Sensei Ernie Molyneux.

There are over 75,000 IOGKF members in over 55 different nations. The IOGKF organises lots of seminars, training camps and international events every year. It also gives us an excuse to pop in for a training session whilst we are overseas. You are guaranteed a friendly welcome and a club photo!
